Senior Software Engineer - Global Insurance Firm

As a Senior Software Engineer working within the Underwriting Innovation team, you will build, run and support full-stack software solutions, from underwriting dashboards to actuarial model management platforms which aim to transform a market-leading Property & Casualty underwriting business. Responsibilities: Collaborate with software engineers, underwriters and actuaries to define and deliver the future of Property & Casualty underwriting Continually improve ways of working, responding to change and maintaining focus on the underwriting experience Deliver valuable software in small increments Drive technical excellence to preserve and enhance agility Focus on quality and write tests before code (TDD) Skills and Experience: 3+ years demonstrable experience in configuring and developing complex software solutions Exposure to Python and FastAPI / Flask Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and test driven development (TDD) Strong understanding of agile software engineering practices, methods and tools Experience of AWS or Azure Awareness of modern technology techniques and patterns such as Domain Driven Design (DDD), integration patterns, microservices, containerisation An appreciation of CI/CD and DevOps practices Experience with visualisation and statistical libraries such as Plotly, D3, Datashader NumPy, Pandas Experience of Terraform and deployment pipelines in AWS or Azure Additional Information Location: Hybrid / City of London Salary: £70k + Bonus + Extensive Benefits Applicants must hold the right to work in the United Kingdom without sponsorship #J-18808-Ljbffr
