Binarly brings decades of research and program analysis expertise to build solutions to protect businesses, critical infrastructure, and consumers around the world.Overview: We are looking for a versatile Senior/Staff Software Engineer to join our UK engineering team as an SRE. Here we develop both our cloud-based and on-premises services. The ideal candidate will have deep experience working with on-prem kubernetes deployments and cloud based multi-tenant SaaS architectures. They will be well-versed in Golang, Helm, Terraform, and Kubernetes. This role requires a balance of software development, operational skills, and a team-oriented mindset.Responsibilities: Apply best practices in software reliability engineering (SRE) to ensure system reliability, availability, and performance across all deployment models.Participate in an on-call rotation, demonstrating commitment to solving complex operational challenges and maintaining system health.Collaborate effectively in a small team, contributing to all software development stages, from design and coding to testing and deployment.Implement and maintain continuous integration and deployment pipelines using GitOps, working with tools like Terraform, Helm, GitHub Actions, and ArgoCD.Manage and optimize databases within our cloud SaaS and on-prem architectures.Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level objectives (SLOs) to ensure high service quality and customer satisfaction.Engage in regular team meetings for strategic planning, and knowledge sharing.Experience: BSc/BEng Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Mathematics.Extensive experience in Golang, Helm, and Terraform.Knowledge of building and maintaining Rust application CI systems would be ideal but not required.Demonstrated proficiency working with Google Cloud and Kubernetes in a production environment.Expertise in the construction and upkeep of Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) pipelines, integrated within a comprehensive, declarative Infrastructure as Code (IaC) framework.In-depth knowledge of security best practices, notably in the areas of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and testing, to ensure the creation of robust and secure solutions.Solid understanding of Linux operating systems.Well-versed in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and their application in a variety of settings.Expert in logging and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana and Loki), incorporating frameworks and instrumentations into Golang code and GCP services.Production experience working with PostgreSQL.
