Ada is partnered with a growing Hedge Fund in their search for a Senior Python Developer with a rich background in Financial Services/Investment Management, who will help shape the development of their high-frequency trading operations.They're looking for an Engineer with around 7 years of technical experience and a strong background in Financial Services/Capital Markets.Role: Senior Python EngineerIndustry: Finance Salary: £125k DOE + BonusLocation: London (1-2 days per week in the London office)Benefits: Hybrid Remote, Bonus, HealthcareCompany:The Hedge Fund has built both a Quant Platform and a Multi-Strategy Discretionary Platform, focused on commodity sectors such as Power, Energy and Gas, Coal, and Emissions.They are currently based in Europe and Dubai and expanding to the UK, and looking to scale up over the next 18 months.You'll be working alongside the Head of Tech/DevOps team.This position is based in London with 2 days expected in the office per week, paying circa £120k with benefits including Shares, 27 days holiday, Healthcare, and a Training budget. QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, etc.Demonstrable experience in Python and libraries like PyTorch, NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib, QuantLib, etcExperience in Systems that handle high-throughput, low-latency dataExperience with multi-threading, concurrency, and high-frequency trading (HFT).Experience with AWS or GCPKey Responsibilities:Design, develop, and optimize Python-based trading applicationsCollaborate with quantitative analysts to implement trading algorithmsContribute to codebase including design, testing, and support of a major internal platformParticipate in system design and architecture discussionsCarry out document systems and processesEnsure code quality, performance, and scalability.We understand that job adverts only give a snapshot of the role so we know you will have plenty of questions.
