Senior Solution Architect - Specialty Insurance - Permanent - London

A Senior Solution Architect is required for a leading specialty insurer to join their team on an exciting Transformation/Modernisation journey reframing their entire IT division into the next generation of technology. This role is pivotal in revolutionising how the Business interacts with IT.

As a Permanent Architect, you will provide ongoing support and expertise, working closely with Leadership and IT teams across insurance and non-insurance divisions to deliver world-class solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all project-related work and take charge of Solution Design to enhance business services.
  • Leverage your strong knowledge of the London/Lloyds specialty market to drive impactful solutions.
  • Work alongside the Head of Architecture and CIO to support the Technology Roadmap and add value across the Business.
  • Help non-technical audiences understand the importance of IT solutions and their benefits to the wider company.
  • Collaborate closely with IT Directors and the Leadership team to implement solutions aligned with the Company's Strategy.
  • Contribute to the Design Authority and Architecture review board.
  • Build strong relationships across all technical disciplines.
  • Stay updated with the latest technology news and trends to inform the business.
  • Translate business requirements into appropriate architecture, understanding HLD & LLD.

Skills/Knowledge Required:

  • Insurance Industry Background: Essential, ideally within Insurance or Specialty Insurance.
  • Technical Expertise: Application Development/Software Development, Microsoft Technology Stack (C#, .NET, O365, Azure), Automation experience, PaaS, IaaS, SaaS, TOGAF, Cloud experience (Azure), Waterfall & Agile delivery.

Location: On-site presence required, 3 days per week in the London office.
