About the Role:
West Heath House is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Specialist Speech and Language Therapist (SaLT) to join our team in Birmingham. Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive speech and language assessments and interventions.
Develop and implement individualized therapy plans for patients with communication and swallowing disorders.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic patient care.
Mentor and support junior therapists and other healthcare professionals.
Participate in case conferences and contribute to patient care plans.
Engage in continuous professional development and stay updated with the latest research and best practices in speech and language therapy.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with professional standards.
Qualifications and Skills:
Degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent).
Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Extensive experience in a clinical setting, preferably in a senior or specialist role.
Strong clinical skills in assessment, diagnosis, and intervention of communication and swallowing disorders.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice.
