Contract length - 12 months

Day rate - �350 Inside IR35

Location - Remote

Morning shift 07:00 to 15:30 UK time (Mon-Fri).

Late shift 10:30 to 19:00 UK time (Mon-Fri).

Your responsibilities in the role

• Database Administration & Maintenance
• Installing, configuring, and maintaining SQL Server databases.
• Ensuring database availability, performance, and security.
• Monitoring and troubleshooting database issues.
• Performing database tuning and optimization.
• Ensure SQL statements are validated for accuracy and impact before execution.
• Managing database backup and recovery strategies.
• Daily checks (SQL Server and Redgate monitor).
• Code release as per CR raised.
• Performance tuning of all Databases.
• Ad-hoc performance checks when requested by app support.
• Analysis Server support on request.
• Disk space management.
• Attending to service desk requests.
• Project support where there is a SQL component.
• Optimisation of archiving of production data.

Security & Compliance

• Implementing database security policies and procedures.
• Ensuring compliance with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
• Managing user access control and permissions.

Database Design & Development

• Designing and maintaining database structures, tables, and schemas.
• Developing and optimizing stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
• Collaborating with developers to optimize queries and database performance.

Disaster Recovery & High Availability

• Implementing and managing database replication and failover strategies.
• Developing disaster recovery plans and conducting regular testing.

Reporting & Documentation

• Creating technical documentation for database configurations, policies, and procedures.
• Generating reports and dashboards for database monitoring and performance analysis.
