Job Title: Supply Chain Procurement Manager

What you’ll be doing:



  • Lead and manage a team of professional Supply Chain Staff and Managers in the delivery of the Supply Chain Functional Strategy and Plan, specifically in support of the area / portfolio that has been assigned to the individual

  • Provide support and assistance in the development of key strategies, policies, and procedures to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction (internally and externally)

  • Provide strategic direction / vision in all areas of responsibility in order to achieve business objectives in line with corporate requirements

  • Support the delivery of the product by ensuring that direct reports have purpose and clarity and are empowered to meet key delivery targets on time and within budget

  • Actively promote cross functional working in order to augment and achieve key knowledge transfer and promote best working practices across the business

  • Leading/developing/coaching and mentoring of aspiring leaders within the Supply Chain Team


Your skills and experiences:


Essential:



  • MCIPS or equivalent level, relevant, professional qualification (mandatory)

  • Experience in Supply Chain Management

  • Management, Leadership and Business Executive skills

  • Supply chain and major sub-contract management


Desirable:



  • APMQ Qualification would be advantageous

The Supply Chain Team:


As a Senior Supply Chain Manager at BAE Systems, you will be deployed to some of our major projects, leading, enabling & empowering the team to deliver our key programmes through integrated management and development of People, Process, Toolsets & Reporting. This is a Fast paced, commercial procurement environment with a varied range of development opportunities, working as part of a diverse team to deliver part of the UK’s National Defence Programme. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
