Senior Support Worker: Activities & Learning | Saltney | 35 hours per week | Monday — Friday — 4 days 09.00am — 17.00pm - 1 day 13.00pm — 21.00pm | £28,318.92 — £31,659.84



For over 55 years, our client has provided safe, quality accommodation, along with first class support services to the most vulnerable members of society.



They provide person centred, supported housing across Wirral, Cheshire and Warrington, with a focus on specialist support services to people aged 18 years and over who are at risk of, about to become, or are homeless, and 16 to 21 year old care leavers.



You will manage and develop the Activity and Learning space by working with external partners and colleagues to deliver a programme of meaningful activities and learning that build residents’ knowledge, skills, and confidence to enable them to pursue their journey of choice towards living independently.



You will lead on resident engagement and participation capturing the resident voice through a range of methods including regular Resident Meetings and liaise with the Engagement and Participation Officer to ensure residents are engaged in other Association wide engagement and participation activities, meetings, and panels.



To support the Project Manager in the management and administration of the project.

The following criteria are essential for this role




  • Experience of working with vulnerable client group

  • Minimum of 2 years working in a similar level position

  • NVQ Level 3 or above in relevant area

  • Commitment to delivery of a quality service

  • Excellent administration and organisation skills

  • Knowledge of local Organisations and Agencies

  • Capacity to organise and motivate

  • Interpersonal skills

  • Communication skills

  • Managing Data and producing quantitative and qualitative outcome reports

  • Ability to network and skills in positively promoting the Association



What will your role look like?



Your key tasks will be:




  • To carry out general front of house and reception duties

  • To manage and develop the Activity and Learning space working with external partners and colleagues to develop and deliver a programme of meaningful activities and learning

  • To capture the resident voice through a range of methods including regular Resident Meetings, and enable residents to participate in Association Wide engagement and participation activities, meetings, and panels

  • To support the Project Manager in the management and administration of the project

  • To ensure effective collaboration, underpinned by a clear focus on meeting the needs of residents, taking an outcome focused approach and utilising relevant systems with clear lines of communication and a shared understanding of roles and responsibilities



What can you expect in return?




  • The pension scheme for new staff will be based on a defined employer contribution of 3% and employee contribution of 5% (minimum)

  • 23 days and maximum of 5 Extra Company Days awarded based on length of service
