Senior Support Worker

Posted 2 months ago

Sponsorship is not offered for this full time role, and applicants must have a full UK driving license and access to own vehicle.

**Amazing company! Hot job!**

We have a new vacancy for a full-time Senior Support Worker to be part of an inclusive team supporting adults with a learning disability and a range of associated needs.

39 hours, long says, sleeps, possibly nights aswell as weekend working and some on-call. Driver essential. You MUST be flexible to work a mix of earlies and late shifts with some weekends. You must also be able to get to the service for beginning of shift (so applicants with childcare needs should have support in place where appropriate).

You will be working at a beautiful rated-Outstanding service in the Christchurch area, supporting people with different needs in their daily lives at this residential service, or getting out in the community. You will assist the Senior Management Team in developing support plans, setting goals & objectives, overall health and safety, and being responsible for mentoring your team of Support Workers.

You will be using positive behaviour support to support individuals in a sometimes challenging but always rewarding environment, working alongside other staff where there is a real sense of teamwork.

Aswell as day to day management of Support Workers, setting objectives, planning rotas and developing effective support plans, you will be supporting clients, providing hands-on support and being an example of best practice.

Applicants should be organised and have really good communication skills, along with experience in the care industry, particularly supporting people with a learning disability and supervising staff - ideally in a residential setting.

In return you will receive a generous package including above-market average pay, nearly 6 weeks paid annual leave, excellent pension, lots of ongoing training and development opportunities and lots more!
