Due to some exciting news in the design department () they have a 12-month contract role available to join the team as a Senior Designer focusing on Print Design and Trend Forecasting for a wide range of home general merchandise categories across home accessories, dining/tabletop, furniture, bathroom, gifting, and stationery. The role reports into a lovely Head of Design who s keen to champion forward thinking design and you will look after a small team of Junior Designers. THE ROLE Designing prints and setting the trend direction for a wide range of home general merchandise categories across home accessories, dining, furniture, bathroom, gifting, and stationery. Creating design direction packs for each season and presenting to the wider team Managing and mentoring a small team of Junior Designers Completing comp shops, inspo trips, and attending trade shows Reporting back and keeping the teams well informed with visit reports Sitting in on buying meetings to align the range direction with trend Working closely with the Buying team to develop product through the critical path Attending Far East development trip ABOUT YOU To be successful in this role you will need experience of print and pattern design and trend forecasting for Home. You could be working as a Homeware Designer, Print Designer, Surface Pattern Designer or other similar title. You ll have a great eye for trend, have experience creating trend direction packs and presenting these to senior stakeholders. There s a small team of Junior Designers to manage here, so any experience managing, coaching and mentoring others would be great too.
