Order Ref: 37006Position Title: Senior Systems Engineer Duration: Permanent Location: Coventry Our Client is the world's largest privately owned and independent company for the development of powertrain systems, E-mobility applications, and instrumentation and test systems.Our Client is currently seeking an experienced Senior Engineer with a proactive attitude, who is a self-learner and highly motivated able to support and thrive in the area of Systems Engineering. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:The role requires working with the Client and customer team members to deliver projects according to the plan. This will include some of the following key activities:Software and Control Development of various systems and features of the electrified powertrain (energy management, thermal management, torque control etc.)Electric and Electronic Architecture development, Integration, Commissioning, Testing and sign-off of electrified system and interactions within the vehicle powertrainDeveloping and Managing requirements for System, Software, or Electronic Hardware applicationsTesting and Validation of developed features and architectures against requirements to ensure successful product deliveryInterfacing with customers and reporting on project deliverablesFacilitating project delivery with other team members and leading the way from a technical and process perspectiveManaging supplier to delivery components for customer projects YOUR PROFILE:Essential:MSc / MEng or PhD in Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical Engineering or equivalentExperience of automotive control systemsA working knowledge of vehicle architectures, communication protocols and componentsExperience with V-cycle automotive development, System Engineering and Quality toolsExperience with MatLab Simulink, dSpace, Vector or ETAS engineering toolsWillingness and ability to interface constructively with a global teamExperience leading project delivery activitiesExcellent time management and communication skillsExceptional customer facing attitudeDriving license valid for driving in the UK Preferable:Experience using the Agile methodology for product developmentKnowledge of high voltage components (power supplies, DCDC converters, inverters, chargers, etc)Experience in high voltage tests, component verification, EMI, etcProject Management, Product Quality, DOORS or similarKnowledge of ASPICEExperience managing a team from both a technical and process perspective
