Role Context: Due to significant recent project wins and growth prospects, we are currently looking for Senior /Lead Water/Wastewater Engineer to support our projects. This is a full time, permanent (40 hours per week) position and will be part of our Water practice within the Environmental & Sustainability Business. The successful applicant(s) will act as lead engineer for water/wastewater projects and work within the wider team and Worley Engineering Group to deliver excellent quality work to assist with the successful delivery of a range of projects. You'll be: Technical responsibilities will vary depending on the project but will involve: Leading water/wastewater engineering deliverables; Managing of junior inputs to deliverables; Water and Wastewater Treatment Design along with developing Basis of Design, Mass Balance, PFDs, P&IDs, outline control philosophy and specifications for Water & Wastewater Treatment Plants; Presenting, analysing and interpreting water quality data to assess and evaluate hydro-chemical characteristics of different water streams and advise on scale potential and treatment solutions; Ability to write optioneering, feasibility and engineering deliverables; Ability to work constructively within large engineering teams to ensure successful project outcomes; Ability to build effective working relationships with clients, colleagues and contractors; Excellent oral and written communication skills and an ability to think logically and clearly; and IT skills - MS Office suite, chemical modelling applications (as OLI, WAVE, Aspen Hysys, BioWin, Sumo or any other software...) The candidate will also need to be capable of understanding economic issues in relation to environmental and engineering outcomes. The successful candidate would be expected to travel within the UK and occasionally overseas but not for extended periods. You'll have: Minimum Engineering Degree/masters in Chemical Engineering or Environmental Engineering. Chartered Engineer Status is advantageous. Experience of more than 5 years in water treatment systems (raw water, industrial effluent treatment and wastewater treatment) particularly in industrial settings, including water reuse and emerging technologies is essential; Understanding of the project life cycle, including the Permitting and Planning; Understanding of Process Safety and Environmental Requirements in Projects; Project Management and or Engineer Management (Discipline coordination) experience would be advantageous Experience in desalination and resource recovery would be advantageous; Motivated to learn and embrace new experiences Logical and clear thinking Excellent oral and written communication skills IT skills - MS Office suite; Awareness of the Health and Safety at Work Act, CDM 2015 regulations A willingness to travel, stay away from home and undertake site based work Full valid driving license; Eligible to work in the UK; Ability to write clear, concise reports, and think logically and clearly; and Ability to build effective working relationships with clients, colleagues, and contractors'.
