Senior Waste Water Process Engineer

Role: Senior Wastewater Process Engineer
Salary/Rate: £ market rates (inside IR35)
Location: Hybrid - 2-3 days p/w + site travel
Contract Duration: 6-12 months

A chartered Senior Wastewater Process Engineer is required by a consultancy working with some of the biggest government, infrastructure, defence, and security projects in the UK.

This Senior Wastewater Process Engineer role is hybrid based between working up to 3 days per week in a local office (multiple available throughout the UK) and the remainder of the week working remotely or travelling to UK sites as required. Site travel will be expensed.

The Senior Wastewater Process Engineer role will be a 6-12-month contract, paying market rates inside IR35.

This role is inside IR35 - Due to the service of the role, it will now be based on an Umbrella solution.

Role Profile/Responsibilities:

• Chartered Chemical / Process Engineer (preferably IChemE or CIWEM). 5+ years
• Experience in design delivery, including multidisciplinary design.
• Fundamental understanding and experience of integrated waste-water and bioresources treatment process.
• Design and/or operational experience of main process unit operations: primary / secondary / tertiary treatment, bioresource treatment and disposal, odour and energy management.
• Experience of process safety techniques (HAZOP / DSEAR), capital and operational costs assessments, whole life carbon assessments as well as knowledge of UK environmental regulations.
• Awareness of process modelling techniques and software, e.g. BioWIn, SUMO.
• Manage a team to undertake technical design work following relevant design standards and codes, and to high-quality levels.
• Prepare briefs, scopes of work, and input into bid proposals.
• Successfully manage time and budgets to key project milestones and programmes.
• Work closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.
• Adhere to quality assurance standards in design.
