What Youll Do:
As a Senior Workshop Technician, you will:
Conduct complex repairs, services, and calibration of company equipment to meet quality standards and deadlines.
Provide accurate and timely repair quotations using our ERP system (Syspro).
Liaise with customers, offering technical advice and ensuring their satisfaction with repair work.
Support and guide the Trainee Workshop Technician to ensure high-quality work.
Assist the Workshop Supervisor with managing daily operations and provide weekly management reports.
Deputise for the Workshop Supervisor when needed, overseeing work allocation and providing technical supervision.
Perform installations, commissioning, and repairs on-site at customer locations worldwide.
What Were Looking For:
Essential skills and experience:
Strong background in electronic fault-finding and mechanical assembly.
Experience in reading wiring diagrams and schematics.
Ability to undertake standard and complex repair, service, and calibration work.
Good communication skills and ability to build customer relationships.
Flexibility to travel and work offshore as required.
Desirable qualities:
Knowledge of Sonardyne products and IPC J-STD-001 soldering standard.
Experience in coordinating and mentoring team members.
