I have an excellent opportunity for a 2nd line Service Desk Analyst for a rapidly expanding company based in South WalesThe company are growing very quickly and this role is offering significant career progression.The role would be Hybrid with 2-3 days in their South Wales office.Salary would be up to £50K with excellent BenefitsThe Role:Based in their Cardiff office and working in the IT Team, the Service Desk Analyst will play a vital role in providing first-class IT support to the company’s UK offices.Act as the primary point contact for the IT Service Desk for walk-ups, incoming calls, support tickets and requestsProvide support to all offices, and on-the-ground support for the South Wales officeResolve end-user requirements including hardware and software support requestsManaging the Starters / Leavers / Movers processes, including account creationsManaging IT services, contracts, subscriptions, and licensingMaintaining and creating technical documentation and knowledge base articlesGeneral administration and support of on-prem Active Directory and Azure Active Directory, Microsoft 365 applications including Teams, SharePoint Online and Exchange OnlinePerform application support installation, removal, configuration and updatesAssist with transformational projects using Microsoft Azure and M365 platformsAssist in responding to and remediating any issues affecting all or part of the organisationContributing to Continual Service Improvement, Service Reporting and Service MeasurementSupplier managementThe Person:Minimum 2/3 years of hands on experience working in a Microsoft support environmentWindows Server (Active Directory, ADUC, Sites and Services, GPO, DNS, DHCP, Exchange, DFS, SAN)Troubleshooting client side issues, Windows 10, networking and mailflowFundamentals of Azure InfrastructureHands on experience with M365 services eg Teams, SharePoint, ExchangeOnline, AzureAD, IntuneExperience of supporting SharePoint online environments including document librariesPowerShell / batch scripting knowledgeGeneral experience of supporting security tooling (EDR, SIEM, IDS, IPS, Email Security)Fundamental 101 networking knowledge, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, Firewalls, routing, VPNsExposure to Information Security frameworks (e.g. ISO27001/ NIST)Managing and supporting VMware server estates.This role would suit an ambitious 2nd line professional whom is looking to grow into a 3rd line role and beyond.
