Service Engineer - Chemical Machinery

Join our rapidly expanding company established in 2009, providing essential services to the chemical and pharmaceutical industry. We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Chemical Machinery Service Engineer to become the Senior service engineer and site supervisor. Full training and support on our products will be provided. Due to our foreseen expansion forecasts this role would be a great opportunity for the right candidate to grow and to develop with our company and team, and to gradually take on more responsibility as they develop within this role.

Our client is a leader in the chemical and pharmaceutical industry based in Huddersfield. Due to exciting expansion plans hey are looking to recruit a dedicated and skilled Chemical Machinery Service Engineer to become the Senior service engineer and site supervisor. This role would be a great opportunity for the right candidate to grow and develop within the team, gradually taking on more responsibilities. Full training and support on products will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance, repairs, and installations on chemical machinery
• Supervise and lead on-site service projects
• Train and mentor junior engineers
• Travel within the UK and occasionally overseas for service work
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations

Requirements:

• Completed apprenticeship in a relevant field
• Experience with maintenance and site installation
• Proficiency in mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems (at least 10 years experience)
• Ability to work independently and lead a team
• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours
• Electrical and chemical machinery experience is advantageous but not essential

Benefits:

• Hourly rate of �16.50 per hour when working at headquarters, �19.80 per hour when working on site, depending on the applicant (Site/workshop ratio is estimated to be 50/50%)
