Service Engineer - Mobile Plant

Connect Appointments are recruiting a Service Engineer (Mobile Plant) to join our clients Musselburgh based facility.

• A full-time temporary ongoing opportunity
• Monday to Friday - working day shift hours
• Rates of pay from £15 per hour - paid weekly
• Overtime possible for weekdays and weekends

Working as a Service Engineer you will be undertaking the servicing and/or repairing (minor repairs) of the fleet of various mobile plants such as loading shovels, telescopic handlers, excavators. Other duties will include:

• General maintenance across the site, including regular servicing of on-site machinery
• Changing bearings, motors, and gearboxes on the plant;
• Carrying out repairs and other maintenance on vehicles, machines and affected components, including engines, brakes, steering
• Using a variety of specialist equipment and tools
• Liaising with site management with regard to required repairs and part ordering
• Liaising with suppliers, sourcing parts and comparing prices

To be successful in this role, you will have proven mechanical experience and relevant skills - e.g. NVQs. Including the ability to work as a part of a team; able to understand written and verbal instructions; and have great attention to detail.

Other key skills and traits include:

• Mobile Plant tickets are desirable (e.g. loading Shovel, FLT, MEWP, etc.)
• Keen to learn new skills and willing to attend training
• High awareness of Health, Safety and Environmental
