Service Engineer

Mac Recruit Group are delighted to represent our client, a large group of companies who specialise in the sale, service, and support of JCB machinery. A Service Engineer is required to join their team in Carlisle (some travel in the local area required)

Service Engineer duties:

• Conduct routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance of the crusher plant.


• Inspect, diagnose, and repair faults in JCB crushers and related machinery.


• Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.


• Perform major overhauls and ensure machinery complies with safety and operational standards.


• Attend breakdowns on-site, providing rapid and effective solutions to minimize downtime.


• Maintain accurate service records and complete job reports.


• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.


• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies during repairs and maintenance.

Service Engineer requirements:

• Relevant qualifications e.g. City and Guild, NVQ or SVQ in Construction Plant / HGV / Light Vehicle etc (essential)


• Experience in construction plant, diesel engines, electrics, hydraulics, transmissions, and fault finding using electronic diagnostic equipment
