Service Engineer

Specialist Distributor and Manufacturer of Pump Systems for various industry sectors is seeking an experienced Service Engineer, to join their established team. The role involves providing mechanical maintenance to a diverse range of pump units, ensuring all works adhere to industry standards and maintaining necessary service and commissioning reports.

Successful candidate for the position of Service Engineer would possess good mechanical knowledge, be self-motivated, able to work on/off site unsupervised and hold a full clean driving licence. Duties and Responsibilities of Service Engineer:

• Service & repair of Pump Units


• Completion of all necessary service & commissioning reports and related documentation


• Provision of effective solutions to customers' concerns


• Communicating with clients, engineers, and other technicians to ensure that services are delivered effectively


• Promptly following up on service requests and providing customer feedback


• Monitoring equipment and machinery performance and developing preventative maintenance measures


• Conducting quality assurance and safety checks on all equipment


• Delivering demonstrations to ensure that customers are educated on safe and effective equipment use


• Providing recommendations about new features and product improvements

Skills/Qualifications required for the role of Service Engineer:

• Previous experience as a Service Engineer/Mechanical Maintenance Engineer in a similar industry


• Previous experience with Rotating Equipment - desirable


• Industry relevant qualification – desirable


• Full UK driving licence


• Excellent verbal and written communication


• IT proficient


• Able to work under pressure

Location: Birmingham, West Midlands                                                 

Hours of Work: Mon to Thurs 08.00 – 16.30, Fri 08.00 – 15.30 (39 hours per week)

Salary: £31,636.80 p.a. (£15.60 per hour)
