Service Engineer

the role.
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Service Engineer to join this fantastic company. In this role, you'll provide high-level service support, including analysing, servicing, and maintaining equipment. Extensive travel within the UK and abroad is required.
Your day-to day duties:

• Complete service work, ensuring customer and company satisfaction.


• Handle paperwork (work orders, expenses, service sheets, etc.).


• Assemble, test, and repair machinery.


• Identify sales opportunities for spare parts.


• Conduct weekly van checks and uphold HSE standards.


• Report any HS issues and inspect safety equipment.


• Inspect equipment before use for safety, including lifting equipment, electrical items, COSHH, and fire safety.


• Assist with loading, unloading, and signing for goods.

what were looking for.

We're seeking a dedicated and experienced Service Engineer with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role (or 10 years if unqualified), ideally with a background in grinding, welding, and other mechanical techniques. You should have hands-on experience with hand tools, along with a solid understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. A keen eye for detail, excellent engineering skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure are essential. You must be flexible, computer literate, and confident in meeting deadlines while handling multiple tasks. A full, clean UK driving licence is required, and a relevant engineering qualification or apprenticeship is preferred. We're looking for someone with a professional, enthusiastic attitude, who is passionate about delivering high-quality work and constantly striving for improvement.
