This often requires engagement and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, planning solutions, carrying out impact assessments, and developing new protocols and best practice guidance to support the change. The team is also responsible for ensuring that the claims procedure manuals, day-to-day guides for the Claims function, and any associated process maps and template letters, remain up to date.The team is known for its strong and supportive culture, where every voice is valued and significant. Find out what our staff say about working at NHS Resolution – visit our LinkedIn pageThe opportunity:We are seeking a talented Service Improvement Manager to join the team on a permanent contract basis.The position reports directly to the Service Improvement Team Leader and collaborates with a team of Senior Service Improvement Managers. The primary responsibilities of this role are to support the research, planning, and implementation of new and improved protocols, processes and ways of working across the Claims function and help identify processes and improvement opportunities to improve efficiency. The post holder will contribute to the development of best practices and risk identification, while also providing support to mitigate any potential challenges.The post holder will support the triage and monitoring of recommendations for process reviews and improvements which are received by the Service Improvement Team via direct approaches and requests from other parts of the Claims Function or wider organisation and will help organise workshops and the process mapping of claims processes across the Claims function.An understanding of working within a claims management environment and knowledge of clinical negligence and/or personal injury claims would be of benefit. Attention to detail and enthusiasm for data quality, service improvement and integrity are essential.What you’ll bring: The successful applicant you should demonstrate a combination of skills, qualities, and experience that align with the team's objectives and responsibilities and evidence the following competencies:Excellent oral and written communication skillsExcellent organisational skills and ability to multi-taskExperience in successfully managing a demanding workload to tight deadlines.Analytical and innovative way of thinkingExperience of working with and drafting data reports, detailed documentation and data visualisation tools is also desirable.Please refer to the Job Description and Person Specification for more information.
