Your Mission:
As Service Manager, you will provide dynamic leadership, strategic direction, and operational management for the Pathways Team.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Team Leadership: Leading, motivating, and supporting a high-performing team of Children's Social Workers to deliver outstanding services.
- Strategic Direction: Contributing to the strategic development and implementation of the Pathways Team's service plan, aligning with the overall vision of Middlesbrough Council's Children's Services.
- Case Management Oversight: Providing supervision and guidance to team members on complex cases, ensuring effective case management and compliance with relevant legislation and policies.
- Service Development: Identifying opportunities for service improvement, innovation, and best practice implementation within the Pathways Team.
- Collaboration: Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including other agencies, to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Performance Management: Monitoring team performance, setting targets, and providing regular feedback to ensure high standards are maintained.
- Resource Management: Effectively managing team resources, budgets, and workload to ensure operational efficiency.
Key Requirements:
- Social Work Qualification: You must be a qualified Social Worker.
- Social Care England Registration: Essential for this leadership role.
- Significant experience in Children's Social Work: Demonstrated expertise in providing high-quality services to vulnerable children and families.
- Proven leadership and management skills: Experience leading and motivating teams, setting direction, and driving performance.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities: Capacity to develop and implement strategic plans, analyze data, and find innovative solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: Ability to build strong relationships with team members, stakeholders, and partners.
- Commitment to safeguarding children: Passion for protecting children and families, ensuring their rights and wellbeing are prioritized.
