A Setting Out Engineer holds the critical responsibility of accurately setting out the construction site as per design plans, ensuring precise dimensions, levels, and positions for seamless execution of construction activities.
Key Responsibilities include:
Establishing reference points, control stations, and survey benchmarks on the construction site to maintain accuracy throughout the project.
Conducting comprehensive site surveys, including topographic surveys and geotechnical investigations, to provide precise quantities and volumes where necessary.
Reviewing and interpreting design plans, encompassing architectural, structural, and engineering drawings, to grasp project layout and dimensions.
Deploying and managing GPS and machine control equipment, alongside conventional setting out techniques, for optimal site setup.
Setting out crucial project elements such as foundations, columns, walls, road alignments, and utilities with precision, in line with project specifications.
Offering technical support to the site manager and other personnel to ensure smooth project execution.
