Setting Out Engineer - Highways & Drainage

Location: Bagshot
Rate: �350 per day CIS

We are looking for an experienced Setting Out Engineer to join a major highways project in Bagshot. The role involves setting out drainage works, completing QA check sheets, and ensuring compliance with project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Setting out drainage systems, manholes, culverts, and utilities using Leica/Trimble GPS & Total Stations

• Completing QA check sheets, ITPs, and as-built surveys

• Ensuring work meets project specifications and industry standards

• Liaising with site teams, subcontractors, and engineers to resolve technical queries

• Maintaining accurate records and supporting site inspections

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years' experience in highways or major infrastructure projects

• Strong knowledge of drainage works, deep drainage, and setting out techniques

• Proficiency in surveying equipment (Leica/Trimble GPS, Total Stations, AutoCAD)

• Valid CSCS card (SSSTS/SMSTS desirable)

• HNC/HND/Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
