Key Responsibilities - H&S Officer- Enforce H&S procedures as required by the company and report back any non-conformities in the first instance to the Group H&S Officer copying in the Head of SHEQ.
- Enforce environmental procedures as required by the company and report back any non-conformities the Head of SHEQ.
- Assist in the development and delivery of safety, health and environmental training programmes.
- Carry out risk assessments and ensure they are completed for every high-risk task within the various Departments and are understood by those carrying out the task.
- Establish and lead safety, health and environmental awareness throughout the various Departments to identify and eliminate hazards and risks.
- Liaise with the SHEQ Department to introduce new safety, health & environmental policies when necessary.
Key Skills - H&S Officer- NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction H&S or equivalent/higher.
- Experience in formulating polices and risk assessments.
- Experience of implementing, monitoring, reviewing and auditing safety processes.
- Considerable drive with the ability to operate unsupervised and on own initiative.
- Good written and verbal communication skills ensuring confidentiality in all matters.
