Job description A position has become available for a full-time Skilled Sheet Metal Fabricatorfor a prototype engineering company based in Hertfordshire. The successful candidate will work 37.5 hours per week, 7.30am 4.00pm Monday Thursday, 7.30am 1.00pm Friday. Salary will up to £19.80 per hour + overtime for the right candidate.

About the Company:
Our client are a leading engineering business, Letchworth based they specializie in Prototypes & Low Volume Production Sheet Metal Pressings, Stampings and Fabrication to the Highest Quality.
ROLE:
Skilled Sheet Metal Fabricator candidates must be able to read engineering drawings, understand tolerances / bend allowances / being experienced in / fabrication and sheet-metal machinery.
Duties include Welding and fabrication in stainless steel, Aluminium, and mild steel material 1.0mm - 12mm thickness including pipework.
The Ability to make assembly weld fixtures.
MIG welding both sub and main assemblies either on a fabrication JIG or freehand.
Sanding\Grinding components or assemblies to achieve the stated dimensions and finish.
Requirements for the Sheet Metal Fabricator:
The role requires manual lifting so applicants should be fit and able.
Actively seek opportunities for Continuous Improvement.
Sheet Metal Fabrication experience
Be able to fabricate Stainless steel, Aluminium and Mild steel.
Welding experience.
The ability to read and work from engineering drawings.

25 days leave plus Bank Holidays per year.
37.5 hour working week
£15.50-£19.80 /hr depending on experience
Regular overtime at X1.5
Bonus scheme
