Sheet Metal Worker

Our client are a medium sized engineering firm who specialise in the sheet metal industry who are looking to recruit an experienced sheet metal worker to join the team on a permanent basis.

38 hour week

 

Sheet metal worker-

NVQ Level 3 – time served fab and weld thin plate

• Fabrication of sheet metal

• Using plasma, folder and rollers


• Understand and interpret manufacturing drawings & drawing packs


• Ability to measure, mark up and fabricate own work without supervision


• Use of hand tools and all usual sheet metalwork equipment


• Use of other machinery required to manufacture - lock former drill, spot welder etc


• Various welding experience and techniques as part of day to day job


• Able to fab up and prepare large parts for welders- bends, reducers etc

The role is on days and is permanent from day one. For a skilled sheet metal worker the pay is negotiable dependent on skill test.
