We are seeking 4-5 experienced Sheet Metal Workers to join a team on the Isle of Wight for an outside IR35 contract. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in sheet metal work and fitting within the aviation industry, particularly with experience in CAA Part 21G regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate, assemble, and repair sheet metal parts and components for aircraft.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and engineering drawings.
- Use hand and power tools to shape and manipulate sheet metal materials.
- Inspect and identify structural damage, wear, and corrosion in aircraft.
- Perform precision measurements and calculations to ensure accurate fit and alignment.
- Install rivets, bolts, and other fasteners to secure sheet metal parts.
- Apply protective coatings and sealants to prevent corrosion and enhance durability.
- Ensure all work complies with CAA Part 21G regulations and industry safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sheet metal work and fitting within the aviation industry.
- Familiarity with CAA Part 21G regulations.
- Certification from a recognized aviation maintenance school or program.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools used in sheet metal work.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
