Are you a skilled Maintenance Engineer looking for an exciting opportunity in the FMCG industry? Our client, a global manufacturer with multiple sites across Europe, is currently seeking a talented Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team at their site in Winsford, Cheshire.

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing production machinery to ensure maximum production speeds with minimal interruptions and breakdowns. You will also be involved in fabricating, installing, and improving production machines. Your attention to detail will be crucial as you maintain and update maintenance records.

What you'll be doing:

  • Carrying out planned maintenance on plant and equipment to a high standard.
  • Responding to breakdowns on production machines.
  • Installing and relocating production equipment.
  • Specifying and ordering spare parts.
  • Reading electrical and mechanical drawings.
  • Performing mechanical and pneumatic fault finding.
  • Completing daily time sheets and maintenance records.
  • Liaising with other departments to ensure smooth operations.

What you'll bring:

  • The ability to read mechanical drawings.
  • Strong mechanical skills.
  • Experience in mechanical fault finding.
  • Electrical knowledge preferred but not essential.
  • Previous experience in a high-speed, high-pressure production environment.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a manufacturing background.
  • City & Guilds qualification or equivalent.
