We are thrilled to be partnering with a leading Food Manufacturing business based in Blackpool, currently experiencing an exciting period of growth and investment.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Shift Engineering Lead to join a high-performing site, where a collaborative and positive culture is at the heart of everything they do. With a strong pipeline of automation upgrades and site improvement projects, the Shift Engineering Lead will play a key role in shaping the future of this well-established business.

The Role:
As Shift Engineering Lead, you will:


  • Lead a team of multi-skilled engineers on shift to deliver world-class maintenance and engineering support.
  • Oversee day-to-day engineering operations, ensuring equipment reliability and minimising downtime.
  • Work closely with senior leaders to deliver CI projects and support capital investment plans.
  • Promote a strong health & safety culture across the team, ensuring engineering work is carried out to the highest standards.
  • Be a key link between engineering and production, providing clear communication and direction to ensure targets are met.

The Ideal Candidate:


  • Previous experience as a Shift Engineering Lead, Engineering Supervisor, or Senior Engineer within food or FMCG manufacturing.
  • A strong multi-skilled background, either electrically or mechanically biased.
  • Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and develop your shift engineering team.
  • Proven experience implementing Continuous Improvement initiatives and supporting site-wide projects.
  • A proactive and hands-on approach, with a passion for engineering excellence.
