Blue Arrow are currently recruiting a Shift Engineering Team Leader to work for an established, growing business in the Thornton and Leyland area.

Working hours: Average 37.8 hours per week, 12 hour shifts, 5 shift system, 24/7
6am - 6pm / 6pm - 6am - 2 days, 2 nights 4 off on 7 cycles followed by an 18day break.

Roles and responsibilities:
\n
Technical Duties
\n
\n- Oversee tasks and troubleshoot technical issues.
\n- Maintain and operate equipment according to standards.
\n
\n
Monitoring and Reporting Support
\n
\n- Facilitate meetings, briefings, and training sessions.
\n- Record, analyse, and report on activities.
\n
\n
Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance
\n
\n- Lead safety initiatives and promote safety awareness.
\n- Ensure compliance with regulations and conduct inspections.
\n- Investigate and report accidents, implementing corrective actions.
\n
\n
Operational Support
\n
\n- Facilitate communication between team members and departments.
\n- Collaborate with various departments for efficient operations.
\n- Communicate shift status for seamless transitions.
\n
\n
Leadership Duties
\n
\n- Allocate resources for safe and efficient operations.
\n- Plan, allocate, and follow up on activities.
\n- Lead during emergency situations.
\n
\n
People Management
\n
\n- Provide guidance, support, and coaching to team members.
\n
\n
\n
Required Skills / Qualifications Required:
\n
\n- ONC/HNC Mechanical or Electrical qualification or equivalent experience with supporting qualifications
\n- Experience in leading a team and coaching team members
\n- Ability to prioritize tasks and allocate resources effectively
\n- Ability to identify issues, analyse root causes, and implement solutions
\n
\n
Desirable Skills
\n
\n- Knowledge of the Waste processing industry
\n- Detailed knowledge of waste processing plant, machinery and associated systems or FMCG Chemical and industrial industries.
\n- Health and Safety Qualification (IOSH or NEBOSH)
\n- Knowledge of working with CMMS software applications
\n
\n
