Owen Mumford is looking to hire a Maintenance Engineer! Could this be your next role?

The Shift Maintenance Engineer will ensure the delivery the business needs by performing effective troubleshooting and planned preventative maintenance routines to prolong the useful life and optimise the efficiency of production equipment throughout the company.
Supporting production activities at all times, ensuring minimum response times to equipment breakdown and ensure maintenance cover for production areas is provided at all times by demonstrating flexibility regarding shift patterns and working overtime as required.
The Shift Maintenance Engineer may be allocated to a production division, so that when not engaged in PPM or breakdowns they shall work with the areas Process Improvement Engineers, continuously monitoring and improving performance against targeted KPIs and metrics.

Working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday, shift patterns available: Days (AM: 6:00am-14:00pm / PM: 14:00-22:00pm rotating weekly).

Key Responsibilities:
Carry out repairs on machinery in all areas of the site and liase with production personnel to minimise downtime
Ensure that planned preventative maintenance is carried out correctly in a timely manner
Troubleshoot machine stoppages and implement required repairs, escalating where needed
Work with Process Improvement Engineers to ensure that corrective actions are put in place to avoid repeated maintenance issues
Ensure that all repair and maintenance documentation is always maintained with full compliance with all regulatory guide lines and company Standard Operating Procedures
Keep track of spare parts stock levels, ensuring required equipment is maintained and available when needed
Provide support to the Facilities Maintenance Engineer to ensure that critical utility supply is maintained at all times.
Participate (if required) in engineering activities scheduled during plant shutdowns e.g., Christmas / public holidays.
To undertake fire marshal responsibilities.
(Whilst the above responsibilities constitute the primary functions of the role, the Shift Maintenance Engineer may be required to carry out other reasonable tasks as dictated by the needs of the business.)

To be successful in this role, you will need:
NVQ level 3/ONC/HNC qualified or equivalent in electrical or mechanical engineering
Working experience with high speed manufacturing equipment, ideally within the medical, pharma or food industry
Hands on experience within mechanical and electrical fault finding and repairing
Working knowledge of current safety regulations and legislation
The ability to demonstrate theoretical knowledge with practical application
To make quick decisions under pressure
Excellent communication skills
To be proactive and work with a sense of urgency to a fast pace
