Salary up to £42K with an additional night shift allowance of 10% (depending on relevant skills and experience), a discretionary bonus scheme as well as 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays).

The role reports to the Engineering Supervisor and is located at our UK manufacturing plant in Parham, Suffolk so your own transport is required and there is parking on site.
Responsibilities:

Ensure the availability of production equipment and ancillary services equipment during shift working hours. This includes being the operators first call for when process equipment issues arise.
Support the production shift team leaders day to day engineering needs and ensure all issues which arise are dealt with efficiently and effectively.
Perform daily planned preventative maintenance activities and proficiently use and help develop the sites computer engineering maintenance management system.
Perform unplanned maintenance and repairs as required to ensure optimum production run time during shifts - Fault finding on equipment causing process issues down to the root cause, not just curing the symptoms.
Support the installation and commissioning of new manufacturing equipment.
Identify and drive forward improvements to our equipment and processes.

What you will bring:

Formal apprenticeship or other equivalent qualifications in electrical, mechanical and/or maintenance engineering, 18th Edition qualified is also desirable.
Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with three phase systems, motor starters, control panels and motors are desirable and it is an advantage if you also have experience with variable speed drives.
Knowledge and experience of hydraulic and pneumatic systems and equipment, bearings and drive transmission systems.
Shift Patterns:
2pm to 10pm
6pm to 22pm
10pm to 6am
1 hour break of which half is paid for
