Shift Production Engineer

We have a well-established global manufacturer who needs experienced Production Engineers on Day or Night Shifts who have overseen the workshop ideally in an assembly or machine operation capacity.
This role offers a competitive salary with highly desirable shift allowances that are additional to the base salary! There are multiple Day (06:00-18:00) or Night Shifts (18:00-06:00), alternating between 3 or 4 days a week, with one of those days being a weekend.
Production Engineer Duties Include:

• Assisting the Department Head in maintaining product output
• Investigate and offer suggestions for process improvements and or cost reductions
• Assist in production when necessary to maintain output
• Assist in the training of new staff and progression training of existing staff
• Diagnose faults and repair Lathe Machines and Associated Equipment
• Complete and update tasks using maintenance-based software
• To provide assistance to Service Engineers as and when required

The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in a production environment, with hands-on knowledge of methodologies such as Kanban, Root Cause Analysis, Poka-Yoke, or similar process improvement techniques.
Training will also be provided to the successful candidate with opportunities to progress within the company being a big focus for any candidate they hire.
