An exciting opportunity is available to join a large and respected Shipping Line in London is available for an Analyst - Yield Management. To support the business commercial strategy based on understanding, anticipating and influencing yield in order to maximise revenue and/or profits from fixed assets. Support business decisions by data provision and performance reporting. The primary job responsibility will be:




  • To maintain, update and enhance current EUA SYM YM reporting and KPI's tools in line with business targets and governance principles.

  • To develop new reporting and operational tools as required by business needs - mostly in Tableau and Looker.

  • To assist in developing new users knowledge of current and to provide effective roll out sessions of new BI Tools.

  • Promoting data which Business Intelligence in GHQ had shared to Europe Trade/Sales/Customer service depends on functionality of the tool (Eagle Plus/BACS etc)

  • Being advocate for developing further data literacy within EUA M&C focusing mainly on, but not limited to, Tableau/Looker/EaglePlus.

  • Using own experience and technical expertise to utilise existing data sources to achieve reporting automation as well as to support data driven decisions within M&C.

  • Perform data analysis and ad hoc studies for specific business concepts within the EUA business environment and as required for Trade.

  • Identify and coordinate with the Trade and Sales team for key areas of yield improvement involving round voyage cargo movement, review and measurement process to be included.

  • Coordinate cargo portfolio strategy analysis. Together with Marketing and Trade Teams analyse yield revenue impact of cargo portfolio with a view to maximising yield return using data & BI Tools to steer the business.

  • Coordinate Regional target setting from global/trade target for measurement of business plan performance using KPI's, review and measurement process to be included.

  • Assisting with EUA surcharges and detention/demurrage tariffs management to ensure costs recovery, market competitiveness as well as overall compliance.

  • Executing multi-trade commercial policies as set up by GHQ while ensuring that EUA feedback is considered in those policies.

  • Review monthly EPP Cost (EPCAS) coordination with the Trade and Container Flow Management team.



The successful candidate will be from a Shipping background and have a high understanding of the Shipping business including marketing/trade, Pricing and Yield Management. Excellent Data Literacy and strong Data Analytical skills. Customer focus, communication, problem solving and decision making is part of this role.
