Job Title: Showroom Manager - Winchester

Reports To: Head of Portfolio Retail

Job Overview: The Showroom Manager will oversee the daily operations of a high-end lighting and homewares showroom. With a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences, the manager will lead a team to meet and exceed sales targets while maintaining the highest standards of product presentation and staff performance. The role requires a strong understanding of luxury retail, a passion for design and architecture, and the ability to cultivate relationships with customers and suppliers.

Responsibilities and Duties:



  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the showroom, ensuring smooth functioning.


  • Showcase a curated selection of premium lighting and homewares to attract and engage customers.


  • Oversee staff schedules, performance, and training to maintain a motivated and efficient team.


  • Drive sales by meeting and exceeding showroom and team targets, maximising leads and conversions.


  • Handle inbound enquiries, whether in person or via phone, with professionalism and expertise.


  • Maintain accurate databases and systems to streamline showroom operations.


  • Lead the showroom's social media presence to enhance visibility and customer engagement.


  • Provide hands-on support and mentorship to colleagues, fostering a culture of excellence.


  • Deliver first-class customer service and sales advice, setting an example for the team.


  • Ensure effective communication between the showroom and other departments, such as logistics and customer care.


  • Identify opportunities for showroom events to drive brand awareness and customer engagement.


Requirements:



  • Proven management experience in high-end or luxury retail, preferably within the lighting or furniture sectors.


  • In-depth knowledge of lighting and furniture suppliers, trends, and the design industry.


  • Track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets as an individual and team leader.


  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, inspire, and retain a high-performing team.


  • Proactive mindset for improving sales processes, customer experiences, and operational procedures.


  • Ability to build and nurture professional relationships with key individuals and companies.


  • Creativity and initiative to organise showroom events and promotions.


  • Problem-solving skills and a passion for the design and architecture industry.


Role Details:



  • Full-time position.


  • 5-day workweek, based on a rota (Monday to Saturday showroom opening).


  • Salary dependent on experience.


  • High-end lighting and furniture sales experience is essential, along with proven retail management expertise.
