Job Title: Showroom Manager - Winchester
Reports To: Head of Portfolio Retail
Job Overview: The Showroom Manager will oversee the daily operations of a high-end lighting and homewares showroom. With a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences, the manager will lead a team to meet and exceed sales targets while maintaining the highest standards of product presentation and staff performance. The role requires a strong understanding of luxury retail, a passion for design and architecture, and the ability to cultivate relationships with customers and suppliers.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Manage the day-to-day operations of the showroom, ensuring smooth functioning.
Showcase a curated selection of premium lighting and homewares to attract and engage customers.
Oversee staff schedules, performance, and training to maintain a motivated and efficient team.
Drive sales by meeting and exceeding showroom and team targets, maximising leads and conversions.
Handle inbound enquiries, whether in person or via phone, with professionalism and expertise.
Maintain accurate databases and systems to streamline showroom operations.
Lead the showroom's social media presence to enhance visibility and customer engagement.
Provide hands-on support and mentorship to colleagues, fostering a culture of excellence.
Deliver first-class customer service and sales advice, setting an example for the team.
Ensure effective communication between the showroom and other departments, such as logistics and customer care.
Identify opportunities for showroom events to drive brand awareness and customer engagement.
Requirements:
Proven management experience in high-end or luxury retail, preferably within the lighting or furniture sectors.
In-depth knowledge of lighting and furniture suppliers, trends, and the design industry.
Track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets as an individual and team leader.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, inspire, and retain a high-performing team.
Proactive mindset for improving sales processes, customer experiences, and operational procedures.
Ability to build and nurture professional relationships with key individuals and companies.
Creativity and initiative to organise showroom events and promotions.
Problem-solving skills and a passion for the design and architecture industry.
Role Details:
Full-time position.
5-day workweek, based on a rota (Monday to Saturday showroom opening).
Salary dependent on experience.
High-end lighting and furniture sales experience is essential, along with proven retail management expertise.
