Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Class 1 Shunter Driver to join our team for night shifts. Working on a 4-on, 4-off shift pattern from 6am to 6am, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of trailers around our clients busy depot.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled shunter driver who is looking for long-term, stable employment with a reputable company.
Key Responsibilities:
* Safely and efficiently move trailers within the depot and yard.
* Perform vehicle checks and ensure all trailers are correctly positioned and secure.
* Maintain communication with the transport team and yard personnel to ensure seamless operations.
* Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
* Ensure accurate documentation of all vehicle movements.
Requirements:
* Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence is essential.
* No more than 6 points.
* Valid Tacho and CPC Card.
* Previous experience in a shunter driver role or similar yard-based work is preferred.
* Ability to work night shifts on a rotating 4-on, 4-off schedule.
* Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
