About the Role
Timeless Recruitment is seeking an experienced Shuttering Carpenter to join a leading construction team in Oxford. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record working on large-scale RC (Reinforced Concrete) frame projects and will bring a strong background in carpentry and formwork. You’ll be responsible for constructing and dismantling formwork for concrete structures, ensuring the highest standards of quality and precision throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities
- Shuttering & Formwork Construction: Build and dismantle shuttering and formwork for concrete structures, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project specifications.
- Technical Drawings: Interpret and work from technical drawings to ensure all measurements, layouts, and material usage are correct.
- Material Handling: Select and prepare materials necessary for formwork, ensuring they are ready for concrete pouring.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect finished work to ensure it meets quality standards, making any adjustments to achieve the best possible result.
- Health & Safety: Follow all health and safety regulations on-site, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your team.
Key Requirements
- Valid CSCS Card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme).
- Proof of right to work in the UK.
- Physical fitness to meet the demands of construction site duties.
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Previous experience as a Formwork Carpenter, especially on large-scale projects.
- NVQ qualification in Carpentry (preferred).
- 2 years’ experience in Formwork Carpentry (preferred).
