Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations and site activities, ensuring all work is completed safely, on time, and within budget.
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors, site personnel, and materials to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, and promote a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Report to the Site Manager and assist in planning and scheduling project phases.
  • Monitor quality of workmanship and adherence to specifications and project plans.
  • Maintain records, complete daily reports, and communicate project progress with stakeholders.
  • Lead site meetings and resolve any on-site issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Assist in risk assessments and ensure corrective measures are implemented where necessary.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a General Foreman, ideally within water treatment or civil engineering projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, health & safety protocols, and environmental management.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills to manage teams and liaise with subcontractors and engineers.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and plans.
  • Solid organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Competency with project management software and reporting tools.
  • Valid CSCS card or equivalent qualification.
  • SMSTS certification is highly desirable.
