Site Engineer

Abatec is seeking a Site Engineer (multiple sites) on a freelance contract to join our client, a regional contractor, for multiple Civil Engineering projects in the Bristol and Somerset area.

The successful candidate will have experience in the Civil Engineering industry, capable of self-delivery, and setting out.

As Site Engineer you will:

• Have a minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in setting out on civil engineering schemes.


• Check drawings and quantities, ensuring the accuracy of calculations.


• Assist in the preparation of ‘as-built drawings’


• Comply with the site-specific health and safety protocols to ensure any health and safety concerns are identified and reported as necessary.

Our client requires a Site Engineer with:

• Experience with Survey equipment (GPS, Total Station, Optical, and digital levels)


• Valid CSCS


• A good understating of construction health & safety protocols.


• Excellent communication skills.


• Experience in Groundworks, Earthworks, and RC works.


• Degree qualification in civil engineering or equivalent is desirable.

Salary/Benefits:

• £300 - £350 CIS
