Main Purpose of JobTo oversee all hygiene activity across site and being responsible for pest control.To manage all hygiene functions within the Flint Manufacturing Site. Ensuring all cleaning and hygiene operations are carried out to the standards required by Oscar Mayer. Ensuring that all staff work safely and ensure the Hygiene Team carry out the required tasks as per CiC’S / SOP’S and follow Hygiene Schedules as required.To carry out Hygiene Audits on Hygiene Operations or 3rd Party Auditor and Liaise with All Departments to ensure Closure in a Timely Fashion.Ensure the hygiene resources are allocated effectively, team is managed and hygiene budget is adherent toHealth & Safety:To be responsible for ensuring Hygiene operations within the areas of responsibility are carried out in a safe manner and meet the requirements of Oscar Mayer. To be fully aware of company procedures relating to Fire Evacuation, Accident Reporting, and Food Safety. To ensure all staff behave in a safe and responsible manner within the area of responsibility and ensure procedures are updated and audited as required and actions are carried out in a timely fashion.Key Accountabilities:Responsible for all Hygiene Operatives and pest control.Carry out Regular Audits of the Hygiene Operations and Document all Actions for closure. Establish and maintain a hygiene improvement plan based on outcome of internal/external audits and micro results.Responsible for ensuring that the cleaning plan is followed and completed before the end of the shift and all actions are carried out in a timely fashion.Liaise with the Production Manager(s) of any problems or Concerns that would affect Hygiene Operations or Compromise Production Process. Responsible for the daily control of Hygiene Operatives including: HolidaysAbsenteeism HR Investigations and DisciplinariesReturn To Work / Follow Up Absence IssuesClosure of Actions in a Timely FashionLiaise with Shift Engineering Supervisor for Equipment PPM’s / Maintenance / Damage.Follow up any outstanding Engineering issues that are affecting the hygiene operation and escalate accordingly.Responsible for ensuring that all hygiene staff are fully trained in their respective jobs, that includes making sure that they understand the importance of filling in the correct information on their respective hygiene control Documentation, Documented evidence to prove they have the competence to carry out their duties must be completed. Responsible for motivating all staff in reaching the highest standard of hygiene care, Maintaining staff awareness of Health and safety issues at all times.Responsible for the documentation used within the Hygiene department and ensure there are fit for purpose based on customer codes of practice.Ensuring that all Hygiene CIC’s and Hygiene Control documentation is up to date and maintained to audit ready standard.Responsible for maintaining a high standard of hygiene and housekeeping. Ensuring all cleaning and hygiene of machinery is carried out to the high standards required by the Company and Audited as required.Ensuring that the facilities areas i.e. offices, corridors, toilets, canteen, staircases are cleaned every shift and Audited as required.Ensure all staff comply with Company and legislative Food Safety and Personal Hygiene procedures and regulations.To support the Technical Department where required for audits. Lead the hygiene requirements during auditsEscalate and resolve staffing issues including grievances with Human Resources. Carry out Investigations and Disciplinaries where required. Follow Up and Closure of all HR issues where required.To carry out staff appraisals on an annual basis and identify any area which require improvement and further training. Complete other duties as and when required ensuring that the Company meets its objectives Immediately, to carry out duties to support the hygiene Department to meet the needs of the business when required.To contribute and participate in projects that may be outside your usual remit as requested and agreed by Management / FGM. Hours of Work: Covering 5 Shifts, 40 hours to ensure both days and nights shifts are covered, and hygiene operations are completed in the required time and correct standards.General Hours of work will be required from Monday-Friday 08:00 – 16:00 or to the requirements of the business and of the role.
