Site Lead Electrical Commissioning Engineer

Astute's EPC Power team is partnering with a leading EPC Contractor within the Power Industry to recruit a Lead Electrical Commissioning Engineer for their OCGT plant in Eye, Suffolk

The Lead Electrical Commissioning Engineer comes with a day rate of £550.00 per day (Outside IR35).

Key skills and responsibilities:
Leading and executing electrical commissioning activities for a gas power project in UK, until successful handover to the customer. The scope of activities will be: Experienced with NG TP106 Process Framework thereby ensuring commissioning is conducted with a level of governance and associated audit trail
Hands-on commissioning of electrical components and systems such as, transformers, medium/low voltage switchgears, DC systems, rectifiers, inverters, motorized valves, instruments etc. Fully competent at using Primary & Secondary Injection test set equipment.
Carrying out testing on electrical systems and equipment, as well as system optimization and troubleshooting and filling-in the respective commissioning documentation and protocols
Cooperation with internal team members, guidance and coordination of external partners and sub-contractors, interacting with customers.
Leading the team of LV/MV/HV electrical engineers, electrical supervisors, technicians, etc. Participate in the Plan of the Day meeting daily providing resourceful inputs on the work progress.
