Site Manager/Assistant Site Manager

Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of construction sites in Yorkshire and the North West. Some working away may be required occassionally.

Candidates must have a full UK driving license and their own vehicle to travel to a number of sites locally. The role will be split across multiple ongoing Principal Contractor sites, supporting Site Managers and Project Managers.

The Role:

Coordinating and clearly directing both directly employed site staff and sub-contractors.

Working closely with the Project Manager to ensure work is progressing according to the programme with effective cost control.

Promptly dealing with any issues and planning corrective actions.

Inductions, task briefings, toolbox talks, site audits and other H&S related proactive activities.

Proving regular updates, attending and leading progress meetings and subcontractor meetings.

Maintaining high quality & safety standards, working closely with our projects team.

Strong interpersonal, leadership and people management skills are essential. Friendly and professional at all times when directly dealing with colleagues, contractors, clients, professionals and all others within the supply chain.

Qualifications

Commercial fit-out experience working within warehouses and offices is preferable.

Experience across Warehouse fit-out installation projects such as Mezzanine Floors, Racking, Partition Walling, Interior Fits out etc. is heavily desired

Must have worked within the construction industry and have experience in safely managing sub-contractors.

We are ideally seeking a candidate with in-date qualifications and training such as SMSTS, Emergency First Aid, Temporary Works Coordinator / supervisor, working at height etc.

Up to date knowledge of health and safety obligations and building legislation

Experience with preparation of all health and safety paperwork.
