A Cheshire based building contractor are looking to recruit a Site Manager for a commercial refurbishment project in Deeside of circa �1m.

With a diverse portfolio of projects ranging from residential developments to large-scale commercial builds, the company take pride in delivering excellence and exceeding client expectations. They typically undertake projects from �1m up to �5m throughout the North West region.

The Site Manager will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while upholding the company's high standards of quality and safety.

Site Manager Duties will include:

  • Supervise and effectively manage all subcontractors and labour on Site
  • Monitoring overall progress against programmes.
  • Liaison with clients and the management team in striving to achieve good standards of quality
  • Produce Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
  • Monitor projects to ensure they have the correct resources to be completed on time and to the required standard
  • Monitor the performance of the workforce on a regular basis and provide training and support where necessary
  • Chair regular subcontractor meetings
  • Produce short term programmes

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Site Manager in the construction industry, with a proven track record of managing construction projects successfully from start to finish. They should possess in-depth knowledge of construction processes, methods, and best practices, along with excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail are essential. Proficiency in project management software and the MS Office Suite is required, and candidates must hold a valid driver's license and be willing to travel to various project sites as necessary. Relevant certifications, such as SMSTS, First Aid and CSCS are essential.
