Site Operations Centre Specialist

Location: RG7 4PR, located between Reading and Basingstoke, with free onsite parking.

Package: Starting from £29,740 (depending on your suitability, qualifications, and level of experience)

Let us introduce the role

AWE is currently recruiting for a Site Operations Centre Specialist working within the Site Control Function. (Estates and Liabilities)

The role is centred around the capture and processing of notifications to carry out proposed working, ensuring that they remain within the declared availability of the company's corporate emergency response and support services. Collation of information on activities on or off site that have a potential to affect business as usual, e.g. drone, restricted airspace, deliveries/collections to/from our construction projects, out of hours working notifications, gate specific requests.

You will be responsible for gathering information to enable planning for foreseeable threats from outside the Site that could affect the safe operation of the Aldermaston or Burghfield Site, capturing and processing all Out of Hours working notifications received within the approval windows ensuring accuracy and validity prior to OOH's applications inclusion on Microsoft Dynamics software.

Who are we looking for?

We do need you to have the following:

  • To be proficient with the use of Microsoft Office software packages including experience of using SharePoint

  • Ability to take a calm rational and pragmatic overview of any situation.

Whilst not to be considered a tick list, we'd like you to have experience in some of the following:

  • Experience of activity planning, risk identification and consequence mitigation

  • Ability to work as part of a team

  • Good communication skills written and verbal.

  • An understanding of site operational control.

  • High personal standards in environment, safety, health, security and quality

You'll need to have the ability to work calmly and constructively in a priority changing environment and be able to manage your own workload. You will also have initiative, enthusiasm, a flexible approach, and ability to work to tight deadlines.

Hybrid working is available for this role on an informal, non-contractual basis. Typically 3 days onsite per week.
