Site Operations Manager
Fresh People are currently recruiting for a Site Operations Manager for a Fresh Produce business based in Kent you will be responsible for the entire operational function and overall delivery of the operations strategies, ensuring customer and company objectives are met.
The Person
Must have previous experience within a similar role preferably within Fresh Produce or Food Manufacturing operation where you have been responsible for overseeing the operational activities of the business and delivering operational strategies , ensuring both customer and company objectives are met by managing day-day operations , optimizing processes, ensuring quality control and driving efficiency at the site whilst driving the business, with MRP/ERP system knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide first class leadership to the operations team – production, warehousing, supply chain and customer services team while ensuring Safety, Quality, Service, Cost and People commitments are achieved.
* Proactively promote an energised environment where teamwork, open communication, engagement, continuous improvement and excellent customer service are not only maintained but constantly improved.
* Develop a team that is self-sufficient and consistent when interacting with customers and teams members where everyone is clear on what is expected of them and how they are performing against these expectations.
* Drive operational excellence and efficiencies with a focus on delivering value to customers through exceptional performance in production, quality and process.
* Deliver results and improve performance activity through employee engagement and organisational development.
* Experience in managing in a multinational production environment where priorities are constantly changing would be a distinct advantage
* Project managing the implementation of new technologies and working practices to improve the efficiency in all aspects of production operations is essential.
* Responsible for yield optimization
* Responsible for labour retention and costs ensuring in line with targets
* Managing Customer QSL’s and service level KPI’s
* Partner with cross functional teams – technical, finance, human resources and customer teams to drive best practise product and process leadership
