Multiskilled Electrically Bias Site Service Engineer �56,000 with steam boiler, pipework and steam systems experience.

Completing PPM'S and daily checks for compliance, repairing leaks, replacing failing pipework, repairing/replacing valves or steam traps, along with the scheduled PPM work and monitoring of the Effluent Treatment Plant.

  • Deliver proactive response to maintenance, reliability improvements and equipment breakdowns on site ensuring continuity of production as a priority
  • Deliver enhanced plant improvements through innovative ideas and modifications.
  • Carry out maintenance activities, ensuring that the maonufacturing team achieve 100% compliance to the production plan, by minimising engineering downtime. Moving the engineering maintenance strategy from a breakdown philosophy.
  • To heavily support and coach the effective development of fellow Engineers, Operators and Supervisors in their up-skilling on their lines.
  • To step change the performance and efficiency of the existing plant through continuous improvement, first time fixes and good root cause analysis.

Qualification Requirements

  • Formal Engineering qualification - OND Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Time served indentured apprenticeship
  • Minimum work base Level 3 (NVQ or equivalent).
  • Formal qualification in Health and Safety
  • Awareness of engineering best practices and improvement processes.
  • 5 Years plus experience in the FMCG industry in a similar role.
  • A good knowledge of Industrial Steam Boilers, associated water testing and safety checks
  • Knowledge of Effluent Treatment plants
  • Advanced skills in PLC, HMI Scada controlled systems
  • Strong electrical fault finding
  • Ability to influence and collaborate at all levels in order to achieve improvement targets.
  • Skilled analytical thinker with the ability to critically assess requirements and select "best fit" approach to meeting improvement objectives
