Site Setting Out Engineer

Job Title: Site Engineer  

Location: Chichester , West Sussex 

Start Date: ASAP  (5 Months Duration)

Day Rate: £280 - £340 per day depending on experience  

 

 

The role: 

 

My client, a well established regional groundworks contractor who specialise in advanced groundworks for large steel frame industrial units is looking for a Site Engineer to join them on a temporary basis for approximately 5 months to cover a busy period. 

Duties:  

• 
  

  Site set up and setting out 

  
  

• 
  

  Quality Assurance 

  
  

• 
  

  Working alongside the project management team 

  
  

• 
  

  Ensuring health and safety compliance 

  
  

• 
  

  Ensuring works are being carried out in accordance to agreed methodology and method 

  
  

• 
  

  Ensuring the correct documentation is held on the site 

  
  

• 
  

  Ensuring works are completed on time and to specification 

  
  


• 
  

  This role is 80% Setting Out and 20% QA 

  
  

Requirements  

• 
  

  Experience setting out for piling, foundations, services and utilities 

  
  

• 
  

  Able to use a Total Station - Leica TS16 or  GPS  

  
  

• 
  

  Autocad knowledge for 3 D Modelling 

  
  

• 
  

  Ideally you'll have experience from a groundwork contractor completing works on a variety of projects
