Job Title: Experienced Skills Coach / Lecturer (Apprenticeships)

Location: 6th Form College, London Borough of Bexley

Contract Type: Fixed-term Contract

Daily Rate: £100 - £150 a day (depending on experience)

Outstanding 6th Form College located in the London Borough of Bexley is recruiting a dedicated & experienced Skills Coach / Lecturer (Apprenticeships) to start a Monday to Friday contract in January 2025!

The ideal Skills Coach / Lecturer will possess strong skills in teaching and mentoring apprentices, managing apprenticeship programs, and maintaining rigorous monitoring and reporting standards. This full time contract role is crucial in ensuring the college’s apprentices receive the highest standard of education and support to succeed in their respective fields.

The Job


  • Have worked in a similar Skills Coach / Lecturers role in either a College or Secondary School
  • Relevant teaching or coaching qualifications (e.g., PTLLS, DTLLS, Cert Ed, or equivalent).
  • Must have a proven track record of providing high-quality teaching, coaching, and mentoring to apprentices across various programs in a similar role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills when communicating with your students.
  • Developing and delivering engaging learning activities that cater to the diverse needs of apprentices.
  • Lives in easy commutable distance to Bexley.
  • Must have an enhanced DBS or able to pay for a new one ASAP!
  • You have supported and monitored apprentices' progress, providing timely feedback and supporting to ensure they meet their learning goals and program milestones.
  • Maintaining accurate records of apprentices' progress, attendance, and achievements, ensuring compliance with college and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience Collaborating with your colleagues and industry partners to ensure apprenticeship programs meet current industry standards and employer needs.
  • Assist in the development and continuous improvement of apprenticeship curriculum and training materials.
  • Preparing and present regular progress reports to stakeholders, including apprentices, employers, and college management.
  • Supporting apprentices in developing their employability skills and career planning.
  • Attend and contribute to team meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
  • Ensure safeguarding and welfare of apprentices in line with college policies and procedures.
