Job Title: Slinger

Location: Derby, UK

Contract Type: Long Term

Salary: �19 per hour

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Slinger to work on a construction site in Derby. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting crane operators in lifting and moving heavy loads safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist crane operators with the movement and lifting of heavy loads
  • Communicate with the crane operator using hand signals or radio communication
  • Ensure the safety of all personnel on the site during lifting operations
  • Rig and unrig loads for lifting operations
  • Inspect and maintain slings, chains, and other lifting gear before and after use
  • Follow all health and safety procedures and regulations on the site

Requirements:

  • A valid CPCS Slinger/Signaller card
  • Previous experience working as a Slinger on construction sites
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
  • A strong commitment to health and safety
  • Available to work long term
